自上月底印尼政府宣布大幅提高國內(nèi)燃油價(jià)格以來，印尼新增失業(yè)人數(shù)7萬人。油價(jià)攀升使印尼的就業(yè)壓力增大，據(jù)預(yù)測，到今年年底，新增失業(yè)人數(shù)將達(dá)到10萬人。
報(bào)道如下：The chairman said that some 300,00 workers were from medium and
large-size industries, while the remaining 200,000 workers were from
small-size industries. "Laying of workers is a tough decision to make
because of the strong relation with workers and the high severance pay," he said.
Severance pay
指的是“解雇費(fèi)、離職金”，也就是根據(jù)受雇時間長短，給達(dá)到離職標(biāo)準(zhǔn)的雇員的一筆錢。Severance有“斷絕、隔絕”，“契約中止或合同到期”的意思，例如：severance
benefit（退職福利金）；severance wage（解雇時加發(fā)的工資）等等。
