LOS ANGELES? – Oprah Winfrey's OWN cable network has pulled the plug on a morning show being developed by "Survivor" producer Mark Burnett as a "Today"-style vehicle for his wife, actress Roma Downey.

Burnett is also producing the network's "Your OWN Show," which features amateurs vying to get their own talker on the air.

Meanwhile the network's ratings have incrementally slipped after a strong launch at the start of the year when the network pulled in 1.1 million viewers in primetime.

For the week beginning January 17, OWN averaged 297,000 viewers in primetime, down 4% from the previous week, which was down 20% from the first week. And the network trails its female-targeted competition at Lifetime (which averaged 817,000 in primetime last week), Oxygen (547,000) and WE (322,000).
