Urban sues artist over website address

Keith Urban is suing an artist over a website address, claiming that it infringes trademark and cyber-squatting laws.

The website in question is www.keithurban.com, which the artist is using to advertise the sale of his oil paintings.

According to RTE, the country singer said that the website was being used "in a manner likely to deceive the public into believing that the website has a connection with the Plaintiff that does not exist".

Urban wants either for the website to be shut down or transferred into his ownership. He is also seeking monetary damages.
