Britney Spears fans are set for a scary treat - the pop superstar's second baby is expected to arrive on Hallowe'en (31 Oct).

The singer was expected to give birth next month, but her husband Kevin Federline let it slip that his wife is planning a Hallowe'en labour when he appeared on a Los Angeles radio show on August 24.

Speaking on DJ Ryan Seacrest's KIIS FM show, Federline told the host his second child with Spears was due "soon" and then blurted out "October 31".

When pressed about his future family plans, Federline told Seacrest, "I'm gonna slow down for a little while, I promise."
