'Friends' star Jennifer Aniston, who knows all too well about the pain of a public breakup after her split from Brad Pitt, helped singer Sheryl Crow recover from her break up with cyclist Lance Armstrong.

Crow has revealed that she used her pal Aniston as an example while she was coping with the scrutiny surrounding her shock split.

"What she's had to go through has been kind of demoralising and, to see that we're stooping this low to press so heavily into somebody's personal life - and to actually villify them, is very discouraging", Contactmusic quoted her, as saying.

"Yet she handles that with an immense amount of grace and compassion. She seems to be always operating from the heart", she added.

She also said that along with Aniston, another 'Friends' star Courteney Cox was there for her in her darkest days.
