Vaccinate的意思就是“（給…）接種疫苗”，也就是我們通常所說(shuō)的“打預(yù)防針”，vaccinate常和against連用，表示“接種疫苗以預(yù)防（疾?。?，如：When were people first vaccinated against measles?（人們首次接種麻疹疫苗是什么時(shí)候？）
此外，vaccine指的是“疫苗”，而“（接種）疫苗者”則稱為vaccinee。
