Jealous monkeys go bananas over lover

Some 10 monkeys in the Yangpu Park of Shanghai went bananas, fighting each other, paw against paw, on Thursday afternoon. The cause of the spat? A large female monkey, believed to be the object of affection of several male monkeys.
The unfortunate female was bit by 10 male monkeys. By 2 pm, the feeders in the park calmed down the jealous bunch, and the unfortunate female monkey, who had been bitten to a pulp, was rescued. All the monkeys were finally put inside the net.
A feeder surnamed Liu said September to December is the "love and emotion peak" period for monkeys. Many male monkeys often duke it out during this time to win the paws of a female monkey.
