Doctors in Shanghai announced recently that bad habits in children like biting their lips or pencils may cause cancer, reports Shanghai Morning Post.

Experts said such habits could cause repeated outbreak of ulcers, which would probably lead to mouth, lip, tongue or cheek cancers.

And the bad habits are not confined to kids.

Statistics show that incidence of mouth diseases like ulcers among adults is as high as 80 per cent, among which 10 per cent would develop into cancer.
