Hewitt and Coria trade insults after match
"Outside the game is one thing but inside the court I really feel like killing him. "And it's not just the Argentinian team (that feel this way), every other international player on the circuit does as well." Hewitt denied swearing at Coria and accused the Argentine of making a crude gesture at him, spitting at the umpire and trying to shoulder charge him at the change of ends. "He spat in the referee's direction and he wasn't happy with the court surface," Hewitt said. "He tried hip-and-shouldering me at the end of the first set and he complained the whole day so I'm not quite sure what his issue is. "He grabbed his private parts at one stage, three times in a row when I was about to serve so I stopped to ask him if he had an issue or whether he could find them...To be perfectly honest, I think he's arrogant and he lost the match today and he's looking for other excuses." Hewitt also took a swipe at Argentina's non-playing captain Alberto Mancini for remonstrating with Portuguese chair umpire Carlos Ramos. "Their captain, who has been mouthing off all week about sportsmanship, the whole time he's over talking to the referee every second point on my service games," Hewitt said. Hewitt said he was convinced the South Americans were
trying to unsettle him as a payback for the argy-bargy between the two countries
during this year's Australian Open.
