Shaanxi sees increase of investment in real estate

Northwest China's Shaanxi province saw a 79 percent increase of investment in
real estate in the first eight months over the same period last year, statistics
show.
The province's investment in real estate in the eight months totaled 10.093
billion yuan (US$1.22 billion), according to the provincial statistics bureau.
During the eight months, a total of 1.885 million square meters of buildings
were sold in the province, rising 29.1 percent over the same period last year.
The sale of real estate reached 3.244 billion yuan (US$390 million) in the
first eight months in the province, 34. 3 percent up over the same period last
year.
The province planned to invest a total of 19.448 billion yuan (US$2.34
billion) into the real estate sector this year.
