China set up biggest personal credit database

"China has built the biggest personal credit database in the world, which has collected 530 million people's information,"said Su Ning, vice governor of the People's Bank of China, at Qilu Finance Forum in Jinan, Shandong Province.

This database, already in operation nationwide, will play an irreplaceable role in China's credit monitoring system, Though it has collected 530 million people's information, only 55 million of them have credit records there.

Besides the personal credit database, the enterprise credit database is already functioning in China, too, which keeps the information of 10.8 million enterprises and companies, about 4.8 million of them having left credit records.
