A thematic forum on Building New Heights of Digital Economy will be specially launched to promote regional economic cooperation and exchange of professionals at this year's Global Programmers' Festival.

According to the organizer, about 100 key investment and cooperation projects will be signed, including a strategic agreement on promoting the Belt and Road Initiative with Chinese central State-owned enterprises as well as other business invitation projects of Xi’an, the host city of the two-day event next month.

Xi'an High-Tech Industrial Development Zone will send delegates to visit unicorn and gazelle enterprises and invite around 10 of them to attend the festival and strive to attract their projects to settle in the zone and share their experiences.

In addition, Yang Renhua, head of the administrative committee of Xi'an High-tech Industrial Development Zone will lead a business promotion delegation to visit Yossi Vardi, the godfather of Israel venture investing and one of the founders of DLD Tel Aviv Innovation Festival, which is the largest festival of its kind in Europe and the Middle East.

The delegation will work to make the GPF a sister festival of the DLD Tel Aviv Innovation Festival and host promotional events for GPF and promising projects in Tel Aviv.
