comatose表示of, relating to, or affected with coma; unconscious，是"昏迷的，不省人事的"的意思，是醫(yī)學術語。coma是comatose的名詞形式，表示昏迷（狀態(tài)）。
此外，除了上面比較正式的用法外，comatose這個詞也可以表示"昏昏沉沉的，昏昏欲睡的"的意思，如：I always feel a bit comatose after dinner.（我在晚飯后總覺得有點昏昏欲睡。）
