The skill one must learn: bargaining
For western people, a trade is simple as the seller offers a price and the buyer pays. But in China, the procedure may feel like an adventure. Different customers pay different prices for the same kind of goods even at the same place and in the same day. Some sellers may charge much higher prices to foreign customers. Therefore it's important for foreigners to learn bargaining skills.
