Pop star Taylor Swift's new album, "1989," has just scored the biggest sales week of any album in 12 years.
Swift's fifth studio album sold 1.3 million copies from its debut week.
This makes "1989" the only album by a single artist to go platinum this year.
The last time an album sold like this was June of 2002, when rapper Eminem's "The Eminem Show" sold just over 1.3 million copies after two weeks on the charts.
