Chinese courts and prosecuting authorities have made great effort in dealing with corruption cases, and a large number of officials accused of graft have been through legal procedures. It is a huge deterrent against corruption, and shows the central leadership's strong determination to fight graft.

2016 is the year that many "tigers", or high-level officials, face prosecution, trials and penalties. Many corrupt officials were publicly sentenced and punished for taking bribes or embezzling money before the Sixth Plenary Session, which shows the country's anti-graft determination.
