The military has introduced new uniforms for its rocket force from July 1, adding color to its "07 Style" uniforms.

The uniforms are in dark green, adding to colors set in 2007 for the People's Liberation Army's ground forces in pine green, the navy in dark blue and air force in deep blue-grey.

The PLA uniform has undergone a series of redesigns since the military rolled out uniforms in 1950, and the latest change is the most thorough, systematic and smooth of all the efforts.

The PLA Rocket Force was established on Dec 31, 2015, but traces its roots to July 1, 1966, when it was known as the PLA Second Artillery Force.
