China should amend its nationality law to allow foreigners to be selected for the national soccer team, a member of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference has proposed.
The threshold of the personal income tax should be raised from 3,500 yuan ($557) to 5,000 yuan or above to offset the rising living cost, a national legislator said.
During last year's "two sessions", smog, personal income tax, families that lost their only child, medical services, education, real estate were the main topics in the motions or proposals sent by national legislators or political advisers.
Internet users are overwhelmingly supportive of the proposals by deputies at the ongoing "two sessions" to make some Chinese festivals public holidays.
