Pandas, monkeys and tigers can escape the heat with ice blocks, swimming and ice-lollies during summer days at Wuhan Zoo in Wuhan city, capital of Central China's Hubei province.
Wuhan city often has higher temperatures than most Chinese cities in summer, as it was called one of the "three furnaces".
The other two "furnaces" are Nanjing city in East China's Jiangsu province and Southwest China's Chongqing municipality.
