Two cats are safe in a shelter in Hangzhou after being rescued from a lorry carrying around 1,300 animals and reportedly heading to a "fake meat" factory in Guangdong province where the creatures would have been killed and sold as pork or lamb. Around 200 cats escaped at the site and a further 80 died during the rescue, June 30. [Photo/CFP] |
