A man in Central China's Henan province was sentenced to one year in prison with one-year reprieve for broadcasting obscene objects online, xinhuanet.com reported on Thursday.

The man surnamed Song, 32, a native of Yuzhou, wrote obscene novels with more than 70,000 words within two months, the report said.

Song has spread obscene content under Chinese Criminal Law, according to the city's court.

Song began writing pornographic novels between May and July, the report said.

Song pleaded guilty during the trial, the report added.
