Renshou County People's Procuratorate in Sichuan province recently approved the arrest of a tanker truck driver and an executive from the oil tank company after the truck was ruled responsible for a traffic accident that killed seven and injured another 23, Chengdu Commercial News reported.
The fatal traffic accident took place on Dec 8 when the tank truck driven by Wang Zheng collided with 18 other vehicles on a local expressway.
Wang was investigated as he was suspected of having caused the accident. Zheng Yong, a manager of the oil tank company was also believed partly responsible as the truck was overloaded and many parts of the vehicle failed to meet technical safety standards.
