Ma Yuhua, a deputy to 12th National People's Congress, is on her way to visit a patient in Luojiahewan village of Wangtuan town in Tongxin county, Northwest China's Ningxia Hui autonomous region on Feb 28, 2013. Ma has worked as a county doctor in her village of 2,464 residents for 16 years. To visit patients' home, Ma has worn out nearly 20 bicycles over the past years. Her proposal to congress focuses on resolving the difficulty of serious disease treatment for rural residents, strengthening the training of public health knowledge for county doctors, and gradually figuring out a resolution for pensions for county doctors.
