New births relieve quake-struck families

Children born after the powerful magnitude 8.0 earthquake in Southwest China's Sichuan province on May 12, 2008 are growing up, caressing the wounds of their bereaved parents who lost their children in the quake.

The catastrophic jolt left more than 8,000 families without their only child. After the quake, a surge in births was seen among the bereaved families.
