 CPC official urges due diligence in investment

Brussels - Li Jinjun, vice minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, said the Chinese government has asked domestic companies to better understand the laws and regulations of host countries before investing overseas.

Li made the statement in response to a question about Poland canceling a highway contract with a Chinese firm.

"At the same time, I hope foreign countries will not adopt a biased policy against Chinese companies," Li said.

Li was attending the third China-EU High Level Political Parties Forum in Brussels, May 29 to 31.
