Japanese electronics manufacturer Canon Inc plans to further explore China's office supplies market, with a particular focus on the country growing population of small companies.

"Canon has been selling in China 15 years, but most customers know the brand through its consumer electronics products," said Hideki Ozawa, president of Canon China. "We have to strengthen our office products."

Currently, China has about 10 million SOHO (small office, home office) companies, representing a huge market for office products such as printers, projectors and photocopiers, he said.
