Hospital issues regulations to ban smoking

The Second People's Hospital of Foshan has issued regulations to ban smoking since July 26, 2010.
Doctors in the city's largest hospital should sign on a document, promising they will give up smoking before Nov 31, 2010.
"After signing, the doctors should be supervised by others. If some fail to give up smoking during the treatment period, they will face punishment, including giving them a fine." Hu Peicun, director of Respiratory Medicine said.
A doctor who has been smoking for over 20 years has to give up. This move aims to set doctors as examples for patients.
