Woman threatens to end life as hubby forgets b'day

Police in Wuhan, capital of Hubei province, rescued a woman who climbed up to the roof of her residential building and threatened to jump because her husband forgot her birthday.
Gao, 35, went up to the rooftop on the seventh floor and shouted that she was going to end her life as her husband left for work without wishing her happy birthday.
Neighbors phoned the police, who, after failing to convince the woman to step away from the edge, pulled her to safety using force by distracting her for a second.
Gao's husband then returned home and promised to throw a lavish party for her in the evening.
