A man beat up his wife when she refused to give up her addiction to an online game called "Happy Farm" in Guangzhou, capital of Guangdong province, last Tuesday.
According to the husband, a migrant worker from Sichuan province, his wife played the online game day and night.
The woman had to be rushed to a hospital after her husband thrashed her.
Doctors found that her left eardrum was destroyed. They think she would never be able to hear from that ear again.
