Retired local officials criticize Xinjiang violence

Twelve retired county-level officials organized an "itinerant publicity team" in Xinjiang to make locals aware of the truth behind the recent riots.

The retired officials are from the Akto County of the Kizilsu Kirgiz Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. They have denounced the "three forces" -- terrorism, separatism and extremism -- which masterminded and organized the Xinjiang riot.

The "mobile publicity team" has given more than 40 lectures in various places to over 5,000 local people till now.
