Housing body elects girl, 9, to manage other kids

A 9-year-old girl was elected assistant director at a residential community in Chongqing municipality to help "manage" kids over the summer holidays.

Tu Zhengfang of the resident committee said parents have to work and their children are often left without proper supervision during the summer.

"We will let the children take turns to be the assistant director and make them responsible for other children," Tu said.
