Houses are submerged in chunks of ice at the tourist area at the Hukou Waterfall on the Yellow River in Jixian county, Linfen, north China's Shanxi Province, January 18, 2009. An ice jam in the river flooded the area, suddenly raising the water level, destroying houses and blocking roads. [CFP]
