China okays InBev takeover of AB with condition

BEIJING - China's Ministry of Commerce announced on Tuesday it approved the Belgiam brewer's buyout of Anheuser-Busch Cos. (AB), saying investigation result shows the merger would not damage competition in Chinese beer market.

But it also restricted the two companies from increasing their existing stake in Chinese beer makers, in order to "reduce negative impact on future competition in domestic market".
