China's forex reserve reaches $1.809 trillion by June

BEIJING --  China's cumulative foreign exchange reserve stood at $1.809 trillion by the end of June, up 35.73 percent year on year, the People's Bank of China, the central bank, announced on Monday.

The foreign exchange reserve increased US$11.9 billion in June, down US$28.1 billion over the same period of last year.

From January to June, China's foreign exchange reserve increased US$280.6 billion, up US$14.3 billion over the first half of 2007.
