Guangdong women want rich husbands(China Daily)
Updated: 2007-12-22 15:04 A recent survey showed that 45.2 percent of women in Guangdong Province prefer marrying a wealthy man rather than having a good job. The figure is 8.9 percentage points higher than the nation's average. The Survey and Analysis on the Social Gender Concepts in Guangdong Province showed that many women are still very reluctant about doing better than men. The Guangdong Provincial Women's Federation interviewed more than 1,000 women for the survey. Even the poorly educated women indicated they want to marry men who are rich. (Nanfang Daily) |
