Old man lives on alcohol alone, remains healthy(China Daily)Updated: 2007-02-09 09:42 An elderly man in Taiwan remains energetic and healthy despite consuming almost nothing but alcohol for the past 20 years. Zhang, 82, said he had not ever felt hungry although for many years he had given up eating almost all food including rice, vegetables and fruits. Born in a wine-making family, Zhang has had a special passion for wine since his childhood. He said his secret for longevity is to drink alcohol three meals a day, more than one kilogram in total. In spite of his unhealthy lifestyle, Zhang has amazed people by rarely falling sick for many years. Zhang has remained single in all his life; he believes his unique lifestyle has scared women away.
