Court orders Taiwan dad to support illegitimate girl(China Daily)Updated: 2007-02-05 08:55 A Taiwanese investor was ordered to pay a compensationof 576,000 yuan ($74,275) to his 2-year-old illegitimate daughter in Dongguan, Guangdong, early this week. The investor, surnamed Chang, was sued by his mistress, surnamed Li, last March. Chang, who regards men as superior to women, dumped Li after she gave birth to a daughter in August 2004. The Dongguan Intermediate People's Court ruled in Li's favor, saying that illegitimate children enjoy the same rights as those born in wedlock. (Dongguan Daily) |
