Student kills herself over college woes

Updated: 2006-09-05 08:48 Disappointed by her marks in this year's college entrance exams, a high school girl killed herself with poison late last month at her home in Chengjiang County of Yunnan Province. The day after her death, a postman delivered an enrolment notification from a college in Xi'an of Shaanxi Province. Seeing the overdue notice, her heartbroken parents wondered why the admission notice had not come earlier.
