Man misses meaning of gift coffin

A young man in Chongqing almost ended his friendship with one of his close
friends last week over a gift at his birthday party.
He became very angry with the friend after he received a toy coffin
(pronounced as "guancai" in Chinese) as a birthday gift.
He thought the gift was a terrible gesture. But he was told by the friend
that he simply wished him promotion and wealth as the pronounciation suggests.
