The mother of a boss in Jinan of Shandong Province provided false income
information about her son to a matchmaking meeting in order to drive away young
women pursuing rich husbands.
Gao claimed that her son earned just 3,800 yuan (US$468) a month. Gao
admitted that she deliberately lowered her son's income by several thousand yuan
because they didn't want to attract gold diggers.
