A website set up by a student at Fudan University is helping over 1,200 lovelorn people find dates every day.
Gong, majoring in media management, established the website in 2003 to practise what she had learnt during her studies.
As the website encourages users to register with true information, many netizens willing to start a serious relationship are eager to become members.
Over 1 million people have so far registered as users of the website, many of whom are graduates from famous local universities and returned overseas students.
Gong said that her family have a tradition of being matchmakers. Gong also met and fell in love with her husband through the website.?
