Eric Peuch, EU-China DRM Project Team Leader, expressed in the address that EU is one of the funding sources in humanitarian aid all over the world. EU humanitarian aid insists on the principle of neutralism, humanism, independence and impartiality and lays stress on cooperation and communication & coordination. The center for disasters headquartered in Brussels plays a significant role in communication & coordination and professional service. Facing the new challenges in humanism, bilateral and multilateral cooperation will play a more and more important role. EU-China DRM Project, launched in Beijing on Jun 15, 2012, advances from initial design right down to the implementation and fulfillment and gets better results. It is hoped that the project will achieve much better outcomes and results in the following implementation and that more Chinese stakeholders will participate and share the project resources to promote the development of China's disaster risk management.
