An industrial association in Foshan said that an industrial standard alliance and a product research and development center for doors and windows will be established in the city in Guangdong province.

The Foshan Doors and Windows Industry Association said the establishment of the alliance and the R&D center would help improve regulation of the industry and provide technical support for companies to upgrade their products.

Foshan, in the heart of the Pearl River Delta, is a major manufacturing base of aluminum doors and windows.

The association, which was established in May 2013, includes 132 member companies, most of which are based in the Dali township of Nanhai district.
