HONG KONG -- Hong Kong stocks gained 153.51 points, or 0.67 percent, to close at 22,900.79 on Thursday.

The benchmark Hang Seng Index traded between 22,796.13 and 22, 943.85. Turnover totaled HK$55.67 billion ($7.15 billion).
