BEIJING -- Chinese shares fell in the morning session on Monday with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 1.94 percent, or 55.31 points, to 2,803.15 at midday.
The Shenzhen Component Index shed 280.85 points, or 2.31 percent, to 11,880.17.
