Hong Kong stocks close 1.01% higher

HONG KONG - Hong Kong stocks went up 242.21 points, or 1.01 percent to close at 24,138.31 on Thursday, mainly boosted by financial shares and oil stocks.

The benchmark Hang Seng Index moved between 24,185.49 to 24,031.42 on a turnover of HK$77.55 billion.

The Hang Seng China Enterprises Index, which tracks the so-called Hong Kong-listed mainland shares, gained 1.24 percent to 13, 659.35.
