HONG KONG - Hong Kong stocks went up 400.6 points, or 1.74 percent, to close at 23,436.05 on Monday.
With a strong opening of 318.73 points higher, the benchmark Hang Seng Index traded between 23,443.53 and 23,057.52.
Turnover totaled HK$53.26 billion ($6.85 billion).
