Gold price opens at record high in Hong Kong

HONG KONG - The gold price in Hong Kong went up HK$137 to open at record high HK$11,345 per tael on Wednesday, according to the Chinese Gold and Silver Exchange Society.
The price is equivalent to $1,225.32 a troy ounce, up $15.03 at the latest exchange rate of?$1 against HK$7.772.
