Deutsche Bank AG investment unit RREEF Alternative Investments formed a venture with private equity firm H&Q Asia-Pacific to develop 25 Hilton Garden Inn hotels in China, according to a statement.

The two companies aim to acquire 15 sites in the first three years of the venture. They will invest $550 million within the first five years of gaining the right to develop Hilton hotels in China.

The first acquisition is expected to be completed this year, according to the statement. The company is considering sites in Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin and cities in the Yangtze River Delta.
