Datang Telecom Technology and Industry Group, the parent company of listed Datang Telecom Technology Ltd, signed an strategic cooperation agreement with China Development Bank this morning, Datang Group said in a statement.

According to the statement, China Development Bank will provide Datang Telecom Technology and Industry Group with long term financing services. The statement did not give the amount of loans.

China's main portal website, Sina.com, reported from the signing ceremony that China Development Bank will provide Datang Group with 30 billion yuan to support its development and research on China's locally-developed 3G standard TD-SCDMA technology.

Loans are also reportedly to be used on the restructure of the listed Datang Telecom Technology.

Shares of Datang Telecom Technology closed at 23.99 yuan, up by the five percent daily limit, in morning trade.
